Academic Leadership and Innovation in Abdominal Imaging

Our abdominal imaging team is deeply committed to advancing the field through translational research, academic excellence and clinical innovation. We actively lead and contribute to cutting-edge studies aimed at improving abdominal MRI, CT, ultrasound and functional imaging that enhance diagnostic precision, workflow efficiency and patient outcomes. Our research explores advanced techniques such as quantitative imaging biomarkers and protocol optimization for liver, pancreas, bowel and genitourinary evaluations.

As dedicated educators, our board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists provide rigorous training and mentorship to medical students, residents and fellows. Through immersive clinical experience and scholarly engagement, we prepare the next generation of abdominal imaging specialists to lead with expertise, curiosity and a commitment to multidisciplinary care.

Advanced Imaging Capabilities

Residents, fellows and medical students will learn to leverage state-of-the-art imaging modalities to evaluate a wide spectrum of abdominal and pelvic conditions from routine screening to complex diagnostic scenarios.

Medical students, residents and fellows are trained in advanced protocols for liver, pancreas, bowel and genitourinary imaging, including multi-phasic contrast studies and diffusion-weighted imaging.

Techniques such as MR elastography and perfusion imaging provide deeper insights into organ health and disease progression.

This type of ultrasound is a powerful tool for characterizing liver lesions and guiding interventions with reduced radiation exposure.

Abdominal Imaging MRI

Residents, fellows and medical students benefit from:

  • High-volume academic practice with complex pathology and rapid reporting
  • State-of-the-art imaging optimized for trauma, oncology, transplant and emergency care
  • Thoughtful clinical integration with Arizona’s most advanced cancer and transplant programs
  • Education-driven practice committed to training future leaders in abdominal imaging
