Where are you from? San Diego, California

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I enjoy backpacking and camping with my wife, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding and cooking.

What are your professional interests? I’m interested in potentially pursuing a fellowship in sports medicine but am eager to see all that emergency medicine has to offer. I have a strong interest in global health, hyperbaric/dive medicine and wilderness medicine. 

Why did you choose our program? I chose this program because it has a long history of producing top-notch physicians, and all the residents seemed passionate and happy to be here. 

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? I lived in New York City for the last three years, so I am eager to spend as much time in the outdoors as possible and enjoy all the good food that Tucson has to offer.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? To explore the restaurant scene in Tucson, hike and mountain bike as often as possible, and take some quick trips down to Mexico.
