Where are you from? San Diego

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I enjoy backpacking and camping with my wife, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding and cooking.

What are your professional interests? I’m interested in potentially pursuing a fellowship in sports medicine but am eager to see all that EM has to offer; I have a strong interest in global health, hyperbaric/dive medicine and wilderness medicine. 

Why did you choose our program? I chose the EM program at U of A because it has a long history of producing top-notch physicians, and all the residents seemed passionate and happy to be there. 

Favorite activity in Tucson, or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? I lived in New York City for the last three years, so I am eager to spend as much time in the outdoors as possible and enjoy all the good food that Tucson has to offer!

What are your non-medical goals during residency? To explore the restaurant scene in Tucson, hike and mountain bike as often as possible, and take some quick trips down to Mexico!
