About Us

The Department of Psychiatry is one of the original departments in the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson, which was founded in 1967. We are known for our focus on community-based mental health care, multidisciplinary approach to the medical/psychiatry interface, and commitment to scholarly inquiry and education.
