Where are you from? Florida, North Carolina and Georgia.

What are your personal interests/hobbies? I really enjoy hanging out with my family, working on my project car and doing home improvement projects. Running, rucking, weight training and scuba diving are my favorite outdoor activities.

What are your professional interests? Critical care, EMS and leadership.

Why did you choose U of A emergency medicine? During the interviews and the several conversations I had with current residents and the program director, I felt connected to the people and to Tucson. Having great food, good schools and a strong Hispanic culture were huge pluses.

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? Dry climate (I’ve spent my whole life on the East Coast), Mount Lemmon and the Air Force base.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? Support my co-residents and staff, continue to define and understand leadership in medicine.
