Francisco E. Mora, MD
A native of Ecuador, Dr. Mora joined the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson faculty in 2021, after completing his critical care fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He had previously completed his residencies in general surgery and internal medicine at the U of A. On faculty, he continues as a member of the Office of Global & Border Health team and a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Tucson. His global and rural health experiences include serving on Native American reservations and in the Amazon rainforest, Kosovo, the Philippines, Ecuador, Paraguay and Brazil — as well as having been coordinator of The Essential Trauma Care Guidelines project for Latin America of the Panamerican Trauma Society. Dr. Mora is certified in Emergency Neurological Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and as an ATLS Instructor.
