Celebrating the Class of 2026

Convocation honors students completing their undergraduate degrees and moving forward to the next stage of their academic and professional paths. The ceremony recognizes their achievements and celebrates the community that supported them along the way.
Timeline
Guests should arrive one hour before the ceremony to allow enough time to park, pass through a security bag checkpoint, and find their seats before the event starts.
Parking
Parking is available for free in the Second Street Garage and the Main Gate Garage.
Drop-off for guests with disabilities is permitted at the Student Union roundabout. Accessible parking spaces are available within both garages on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please follow the posted signage and the directions from the university parking staff on the day of the event.
Tickets
Each graduate is allotted ten guest tickets for the ceremony. Students must pick up tickets from their advisors.
All guests must present a valid ticket for entry.
Seating
Seating is on a general admission basis.
Accessibility
Captioning is available for any guests requiring accommodations, and will be available via personal mobile device using a QR code displayed at the ceremony.
The Student Union is equipped with elevators and ramps. Seating inside the ceremony is available for guests with disabilities.
Security
All guests will pass through a security checkpoint. Please note that only bags smaller than 12” x 6” x 12” are permitted inside the Student Union. All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
The Student Union is secured by A-Team security and UAPD during the week of convocation and during the ceremony itself.
Prohibited Items
The Student Union Memorial Center will provide signage indicating prohibited items at every entrance of the designated premises. Clear communication regarding prohibited items is essential for maintaining safety and security within the venue. The following items are prohibited:
- Air horns or large/oversized umbrellas
- Confetti, Flutterfetti, or silly string
- Balloons or inflatable items (e.g., beach balls)
- Poles, monopods, tripods
- Weapons: guns, ammunition, knives, box cutters
- Leatherman or similar tools
- Sharp and/or pointed objects (scissors, knitting needles, etc.)
- Mace, pepper spray, aerosols, or flammable liquids
- Explosives, fireworks, laser lights, or laser pointers
- Unopened packages or signs with sticks or poles
- Cans, bottles, or coolers
- Hoverboards, segways, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, or bicycles
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)
Photography
During the ceremony, a professional photographer will capture photos of each graduate in their regalia. These complimentary photos will be available for download at no cost, and graduates will be notified when they are ready, approximately 3 weeks after the ceremony.
Livestream
