Where are you from? Phoenix, Arizona

What are your personal interests/hobbies? Hiking, running, reading, playing almost any sport, board games, spending time outside, spending time with family and traveling. 

What are your professional interests? Medical Spanish and global health

Why did you choose U of A emergency medicine? I had a great time talking to everyone on interview day. I could tell they were all close to each other and really liked their program. I also thought the global health program here sounded great, and I want to improve my Spanish.

What is your favorite activity in Tucson or what attracted you to Tucson besides the residency program? I wanted to come back to the Southwest after going to medical school in the Midwest. I think the sun and warmth are so nice, as well as seeing mountains again. Tucson is also great as a mid-sized city with good food, a low cost of living and outdoor activites.

What are your nonmedical goals during residency? I want to visit as many national parks as I can, work on my baking skills and read some good books.
