Gloria Vinoy, MBBS
Where are you from? Keralam, India
Why did you choose the College of Medicine – Tucson Pediatrics Residency Program? I chose the program because of the diverse patient population, which offers exposure to both common pediatric conditions and rare, complex cases. I was also drawn to the welcoming and supportive culture I experienced during my interview, particularly the genuine interactions between the residents. It felt like an environment where I could learn and grow during my three years of residency.
What are your current professional interests and career goals? As I begin my intern year, I’m keeping an open mind and looking forward to giving my best in every rotation. I hope to explore different areas of pediatrics and discover what best aligns with my interests and strengths as I grow throughout residency.
What are your personal interests and hobbies? Outside of medicine, I enjoy watching movies and series.
What is your favorite thing about Tucson? My favorite thing about Tucson is the beautiful sunsets and the surrounding hills. I love stepping out of the hospital at the end of the day and taking a moment to enjoy the views.
What are your nonmedical goals during residency? During residency, I’d like to learn Spanish, get back into reading and spend more time hiking. Tucson is a great place for all three, especially with its beautiful trails and outdoor spaces.
