Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the key tactics used in substance use (SU) coercion in the context of intimate partner violence (IPV) and their impact on recovery and treatment.
  • Recognize key components of a comprehensive approach for identifying and addressing substance use coercion in clinical settings.
  • Utilize resources that can help support individuals experiencing SU coercion and providers aiming to support these patients. 

The educational objective of the Addiction Medicine Grand Rounds is to provide health professionals with updates on addiction topics with the goals of increasing knowledge, competence and patient care. The Addiction Medicine Lecture series is held monthly on a Thursday from noon to 1 p.m.
