Khalil Masabni, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor

Khalil Masabni, MD, joins the University of Arizona Department of Surgery as a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.

Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Dr. Masabni held the title of assistant professor of surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine. He earned his Medical Degree from American University of Beirut and completed his residency in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University. Subsequently, Dr. Masabni completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.

“I collaborate with colleagues in cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, interventional radiology, nephrology and podiatry in order to offer each patient a multidisciplinary, yet individualized, diagnostic assessment and therapeutic plan Dr. Masabni said. I utilize medical, conventional open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular therapy to guarantee that my patients receive the most appropriate remedy for their problem

His clinical interests include thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm and dissection, visceral artery aneurysm, mesenteric vascular disease, renal artery disease, carotid artery disease and stroke prevention, carotid body tumor, peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, dialysis access and venous disease.

Dr. Masabni is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, and he is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. His research portfolio specializes in the development, evaluation, and implementation of new methods of treatment for aortic and carotid disease.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Masabni enjoys the piano, soccer and traveling.
