UA’s Agnes Attakai Receives National Rural Health Award

The National Rural Health Association has presented Agnes Attakai, MPA, director of health disparities outreach and prevention education at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, the Rosemary McKenzie Legacy Award for her work as a champion of health equity in Arizona and nationally to reduce health disparities among Arizona’s Native Americans.


UA Cancer Center, Banner – University Medicine to Observe Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month With Free Presentation, Screenings

The UA Cancer Center is enlisting dental professionals to incorporate head and neck cancer screenings into routine checkups.


Physiology Undergrads Receive UA's Pillars of Excellence Award

Christie Rosputni and Maya Lowney, undergraduates in the College of Medicine - Tucson's physiology program, have received the Pillars of Excellence Award. Only 10 students from across campus are awarded this honor every year.
