Tucson Campus
The UA College of Medicine is a cornerstone of the Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) at The University of Arizona in Tucson. AHSC is situated on approximately 45 acres of the UA campus. It includes the UA Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health; University Medical Center — the primary teaching hospital for the College; University Physicians Healthcare; and the statewide Arizona Cancer Center.
Students in the Tucson program also train off campus, in South Tucson, at University Physicians Hospital and at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Health Care System. In addition, a variety of clinics throughout the city and the state provide clinical experiences for medical students.
The Tucson program has 19 departments and 9 centers of excellence, dedicated to specific areas of research, clinical care and teaching.
