Med Teach:

Medical students teach anatomy and physiology of the heart and eyes in middle schools in underserved areas in Tucson and rural areas in Southern Arizona. The medical students serve as mentors and role models to the middle school students. The purpose of the program is to show them that science can be interesting and fun and to encourage students to think about pursuing careers in the health care field. Opportunity is given for the adolescent students to ask questions about university and healthcare careers.
