UA Health Sciences Celebrates Milestone Anniversaries During UA Homecoming, Oct. 27-28

Join the University of Arizona Health Sciences Homecoming Reception taking place Friday, Oct. 27, from 5-6:30 p.m., at the UA Health Sciences Plaza, just south of the UA College of Medicine – Tucson, along the “Walkway of Wellness.”

The event brings together alumni from the UA Colleges of Medicine (Phoenix and Tucson), Nursing, Pharmacy and the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live music.

This year marks milestone anniversaries at the five UA Health Sciences colleges as they join together to celebrate Homecoming by connecting alumni, faculty and friends with fun and knowledge.

Following the reception, free shuttle service will be provided from 6:30-7 p.m. from the Health Sciences Plaza to the west side of Old Main for the traditional Homecoming Bonfire and the crowning of the 2017 Homecoming King and Queen. Join the Pride of Arizona marching band, Wilbur and Wilma T. Wildcat, UA cheerleaders and the 2017 Homecoming court. The program begins with a march from the Bear Down Friday Night Pep Rally at Main Gate to the Old Main Fountain at about 7 p.m.

On Friday, before the reception, the UA Health Sciences colleges will host several free, RSVP events. The UA College of Medicine – Tucson will host various tours and talks, starting at noon. Students from the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix will travel to Tucson to join in on the UA College of Medicine – Tucson activities. From 5-8 p.m., the UA College of Pharmacy will feature student posters and exhibits. From 4-5 p.m., the UA College of Nursing will host a nursing research showcase.

On Saturday, the UA College of Nursing will host a Wildcat Nurse Alumni Awards Breakfast.
