Cancer Biology Graduate Interdisciplinary Program
The research endeavors of the faculty members of this interdisciplinary program are directed toward understanding human cancer prevention, induction, and progression. Specific research projects focus on the chemoprevention of carcinogenesis, regulation of gene expression; mechanisms of chemical and physical mutagenesis and carcinogenesis; biologic rationale for radiation therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy of cancer; and fundamental processes involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation. Application to the Cancer Biology Program requires departmental application, submission of official GRE and/or MCAT scores, official undergraduate transcripts, a personal statement concerning interest in cancer biology, and three letters of recommendation.
