Purchase a New Computer or Printer

College of Medicine IT Services regularly compiles a list of recommended standard computers for our environment.  To view these standards visit:

Generally, Optiplex 7020 desktop computers are recommended for College of Medicine users, and Optiplex 3020 desktop computers are recommended for users in the BUMC environment. Please note that although Apple desktops and laptops are available, certain software incompatibility issues may prevent users from being able to perform tasks that would otherwise be possible on a PC within the College of Medicine environment.  Please consult with IT Services to ensure that an Apple computer will align with your personal needs as well as job requirements.

To purchase computers, software and other electronics or accessories:

  1. Download the Computing Request Form (CRF) and fill it out in Adobe Reader.  The most up to date version of this form will be available from: http://medicine.arizona.edu/form/computing-request-form-com
  2. Print the form (if necessary).

  3. Have an authorized signer on the relevant UA Account sign the form.

  4. Scan the form (if printed in Step 2).

  5. Email the completed and signed form to Dan Craig at dcraig@email.arizona.edu.
