The University of Arizona College of Medicine encompasses full, four-year medical-education programs in Tucson and in Phoenix. The Tucson campus, founded in 1967, currently welcomes a class of 115 first-year students each year. The four-year Phoenix program opened in 2006 as The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix in partnership with Arizona State University and admitted 24 first-year students to its first class in 2007. That number doubled in 2008 and is expected to grow substantially – to 120 first-year students – within the next five years.
The administrative offices are responsible for the daily operations and business of the college. Many offices are dedicated solely to the UA College of Medicine, while some serve other entities within the Arizona Health Sciences Center at The University of Arizona, as well.
